Mankato Kiwanis Foundation

This foundation was created in 2010 to help recognize and support students in the Mankato Area who excel in service to others and in their studies, through higher education scholarships. A fund-raising campaign helped the foundation reach a goal of $100,000.

The total scholarship amount awarded each year is currently $7,000. The balance is funded by the club and an invested CD. Some scholarships were increased since the fund was established to reflect the rising costs of tuition.

Scholarships Awarded:

• $1,000 MSU Mankato Circle K: Given directly to a member of the MSU Circle K club.

• $2,000 Claire Faust Designated Scholarship: Given to a local High School Student. 

• $2,000 Hal Burke Designated Scholarship: Given to a local High School Student.

• $2,000 Mankato Kiwanis Education Scholarship: Given to a local High School Student.
